Creation of the Universe

General relativity favors no beginning. An infinite universe predicts a flat geometry where light can only take one path. This has been upheld by current observations. The Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe set out to test the very hypothesis, Measurements place Ω at 1.02 +/- 0.02 and light has been found to only take one path, it succeeded. A finite universe predicts a slightly curved geometry where light can take two paths to the same point. The only failing is the predictions made by the finite hypothesis. Although Einstein did hypothesize a local curvature to space-time induced by interactions with matter. The predictions of a global curved geometry have not been observed.
General relativity makes many predictions (gravitational time dilation, light deflection, Precession of apsides for orbits, orbital decay, gravitational lensing, singularities, etc.); the conformation of the predictions only explainable through general relativity supports the theory that the universe is infinite, no creation needed.
