Blasphemy

Blasphemy is disrespectful use of the name of a deity and a victim-less crime[1]. All religions disapprove of speech or writing which defames the deity or deities. Blasphemy can be against the law in some places of the world.
Blasphemy In The Bible
In Leviticus 24:16 God tells Moses "the one who blasphemes the name of the Lord shall surely be put to death; all the congregation shall certainly stone him. The alien as well as the native, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death." In this passage, God tells moses the punishment for Blasphemy, and the punishment is execution by stoning, and this punishment is not only for foreigners, but natives as well. In Luke 12:10 Blasphemy is referenced again, "he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven" This passage tells that blasphemy can never be forgiven, it is an eternal sin. Saying something like "Goddamn!", "God-dammit!", is considered blasphemy, and carries the same punishment as saying "God does not exist".
Blasphemy in Islam
Blasphemy in Islam constitutes speaking ill of any prophet mentioned in the Qur'an, this also obviously includes God.Qur'an also states that it is blasphemy to claim that there is more than one god or that Jesus Christ is the son of God. The Quran says "He forgives all sins, except disbelieving in God". "God!" or "for God's sake" are not considered blasphemy, unless the word "God" is replaced with another name that implies worship to someone or something other than God. "Jesus!" or "Holy cow!" are considered blasphemy because they denote worship to something other than God.
